In part two of the ‘Self-Mastery’ series, Pastor Erwin McManus brings a powerful message on the importance of attaining mastery over our thoughts. From the words of Paul in 2 Corinthians 10:3-5, Pastor Erwin reveals that our minds are the invisible place where our most significant battles take place.
He reminds us that seeking mastery over our thoughts is a spiritual act. God designed us to ‘take every thought captive,’ so that we would not allow a negative thought to take root in our minds. Every thought that does not call us to more is not a thought that aligns with God’s design for us!

Self-Mastery: Ownership

Part one of a new series from Pastor Erwin McManus on the importance of self-mastery. To begin the journey of self-mastery, you must first learn how to take ownership over your life and choices. When we abdicate our responsibility for our choices, we then give away our power to change our future.

Out of the context of Genesis 3, Pastor Erwin relates the story of Adam and Eve and how neither took ownership for their actions in the Garden. Pastor Erwin insightfully unpacks the scriptures and the consequences of the fall of humanity away from God’s original intention. Blame was at the root of man’s separation from God, and the beginning of a history of no ownership between humanity and our creator.

Easter – “The Living”

In Luke chapter 24, Jesus’ followers arrive at the tomb where his body lay to pay their respects in mourning. There they encounter two angels who ask this revolutionary question: ‘Why are you looking for the living among the dead?’

Pastor Erwin Raphael McManus uses this moment to reveal the beauty of Easter in a new and life-changing way.  So often, we can find ourselves not truly living, only existing. Without the power and love of Jesus, there is only death. But with Jesus, you find the source of life itself. When we put our trust in Jesus, we will be found among the living and not among the dead.
